The Windows you know, only better

Microsoft are keen to stress that Windows 10 will feel familiar to users so there will be no massive learning curve. The popular Start Menu is back and has space for you to pin your favourite apps to it so you can access them easily. They also claim that simple navigation will mean you don’t need to spend much time learning anything new.

Always up to date

Mainly for security reasons, Windows 10 will automatically deliver updates to your device, as they are released directly . You won’t have to worry whether you have the latest features or security updates as the OS will look after itself.

Easy to do, quick to act

Windows 10 has some new ways to help you  multi‑task, with features such as the Action Center, where all your notifications and key settings are on one easily accessible screen, for immediate action.

Rule the web

Project Spartan is Microsoft’s an all‑new  web browser built to deliver a better online experience. It will allow you to write directly on web pages from your PC, read articles distraction‑free and save your favourite stories to read later even if you are offline.

Universal Apps, including Office

The store in Windows 10 will be a one-stop shop for hundreds of thousands of apps including games, music, videos, as well as a new version of the ever popular Office suite.

Free Upgrade Offer

Microsoft are also offering a free upgrade to Windows 10 for qualified new or existing Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 devices that complete the upgrade in the first year of release.  In addition to this once your device has qualified and has upgraded to Windows 10, they will continue to keep it up to date for the supported lifetime of the device, keeping it more secure, and introducing new features and functionality over time at no additional charge.

The release date for Windows 10 is currently set to July, so if you’re considering the upgrade and need some assistance please give us a call.
